Hi, I am Kat McCabe!

I am published cosplay and portrait photographer from Buffalo, New York.

I have my BFA in Photography and Fine arts, I graduated Villa Maria college in 2018

I have been in a few different galley shows with my work in it, one of which was a show with my cosplay work.

My story is a simple one. I started my love of photography at a young age, I used to run around taking photos using my parent's old Polaroid cameras. I really got into photography though my great grandma, she use to show me all the photos she would take when she would travel, and I wanted to do the same. I wanted to show the beauty of the world like she once did. My love for cosplay started when I was in middle school, I always loved comics and anime which drew me to cosplay. My friends and I use to dress up as all of our favorite characters, which drew me into the cosplay community. I started to go to anime and comic cons at around 13 and that is where my passion for cosplay photography really started. I started to take photos of my friends and other people in their cosplays, at first I did it for fun and than I was drawn to do it more.
